I live in a wonderful home which is located on a hillside with fantastic views over the popular tourist town of Teignmouth in South Devon. My home has beautifully manicured gardens with amazing views of the estuary and Dartmoor in the distance, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast on the terrace on a sunny day.
Teignmouth
Teignmouth is a town situated on the bank of the estuary of the River Teign, approximately 14 miles south of Exeter. In 1690, it was the last place in England to be invaded by a foreign power. The town grew from a fishing port to a fashionable resort in Georgian times, and today the town remains a popular seaside holiday location. It is an ideal area for walking as Teignmouth is on the South West Coast Path. In March, the Classical Music Festival and the Poetry Festival host events, recitals and workshops around the town.
The Folk Festival in June, is one of the top festivals in the UK. This is a three day event where the atmosphere of the town is electric and lively
During the summer, there are carnivals and regattas in Teignmouth and the neighbouring town of Shaldon, and a Jazz Festival in autumn.
